OUR FOUNDING PARTNERS
MACIF
Since 1960, Macif has been a leader in the fields of development and modernity. At the heart of its Social Economy created through mutual insurance, MACIF affirms that it is OK to be different and shows, through its success, that another way of organising the economy is possible. With more than 13 million contracts, Macif has become n° 1 in France for private damage insurance. This position is based on its strategy which places its members at the heart of their value structure.
"Our support for the Institute for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurships is part of our desire to promote among students a type of participation-based organisation which places consumers at the core of its mission. There are many ways to be an entrepreneur and MACIF tries to prove this every day!" - Gérard Andreck, President of Caisse d'Epargne.
Caisse Des Dépôts et Consignations
Caisse des Dépôts is a publicly financed institution in charge of general interest missions granted by the State and local authorities. It employs 39,000 people. A major long term investor, it is also directly responsible for monitoring and coordinating competitive activities carried out by specialised subsidiaries or as part of strategic participations. Caisse des Dépôts has been dedicating around one third of its consolidated profits to long term involvement in general interest initiatives and, in particular: financing the development of innovative SMEs, supporting urban renewal and digital development within local areas, real estate investment in sensitive urban zones and financing very small enterprises and the Social Economy.
"CDC supports diversity in entrepreneurial approaches to create innovation, jobs and social cohesion. This is achieved through the emergence, training and recognition of social entrepreneurs. This explains our commitment to ESSEC, to inspire vocation, get economic sectors on board, make its work known and bring Social Entrepreneurship figures into the loop". - Patrick Baquin, Partnership Director.
Caisse d’Épargne
Caisse Nationale des Caisses d'Epargne (CNCE), of which Caisses d'Epargne holds 100% of the shares, is the central body of the Caisse d'Epargne Group. It is both a holding and a bank, to which the majority of the subsidiaries and national participative bodies are attached (Natixis, Crédit Foncier, Banque Palatine, etc). Caisses d'Epargne is a cooperative bank, with 80% of the capital being held by local savings organisations, bringing together more than three million members. The Caisse d'Epargne Group is a bank with strong roots in its local communities. It is a major player in regional development, partnering stakeholders involved in economic and social development. The group was founded with a mission of social progress and is strongly committed to approaching major issues of our time, such as poverty and environmental risks. To mark its commitment to society, the Group’s actions are carried out by its Foundation and through policies promoting sustainable development, patronage and sponsoring.
"The Caisse d'Epargne Group has always remained faithful to its ambition of social progress, which was at the heart of the first Caisse d'Epargne in 1818. The values of solidarity and general interest are deeply ingrained in its “historical” values, hence its attachment to the Social Economy sector. Through our partnership with ESSEC’s Chair, we wish to contribute to improving local development, supporting approaches focussing on a better appreciation of societal problems". Bernard Comolet, Directorate President.
MAIF
A mutual insurance firm since 1934, MAIF owes its reputation to the quality of its services, its capacity to maintain its commitments and its original relationship with its members. Today, thanks to a range of services which combines property insurance, personal insurance, savings and auto credit, MAIF provides its clients with full protection and supports them in their projects. MAIF has developed considerably in recent years, diversifying its offer and its membership within the MAIF Group, whilst at the same time remaining faithful to its conception as an innovative insurer and its driving values: respecting the individual, solidarity, humanism, lack of individual profit.
""For MAIF, the ambition behind this partnership with the Institute for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship is to allow the culture of the Social Economy to enter schools, to show students that alternative entrepreneurship is possible and to give Chair students privileged access to our organisation" - Dominique Thiry, General Manager
